PROJECT SUMMARY
Loggerhead Light House was built in 1856 at the same time Fort Jefferson was under construction. Our work on the lighthouse included: the installation of new removable copper roof panels to provide a watertight roof, while retaining as much of the original historic fabric and exactly replicating the appearance of the roof in terms of its details and materials, the repair of the dome and gutter system using primary original material, and the complete replacement of the polycarbonate glazing and glass panels.
