PROJECT SUMMARY
Loggerhead Light House was built in 1856 at the same time Fort Jefferson was under construction. Our work on the lighthouse included: installation of new removable copper roof panels to provide a watertight roof, while retaining as much of the original historic fabric and exactly replicating the appearance of the roof in terms of its details and materials; the repair of the dome and gutter system using primary original material; and the complete replacement of the polycarbonate glazing and glass panels.
