PROJECT SUMMARY
Stone & Lime Historic Restoration Services was contracted for this project by the New Village Congregational Church. Built in 1818, the Village Congregational is in the downtown area of Whitinsville, MA. Stone & Lime’s scope of work focused on the portico and included the reconstruction of the northeast parapet; stabilization of the stone arch; interior repointing; washdown of masonry; granite veneer and limestone replacement; and granite and limestone patching. Subcontractor Crocker Architectural demolished existing and installed anew EPDM roof and recovery board; provided new copper flashing around perimeter; placed a copper cap slip into reglet joints to match the existing; and provided new copper scupper box, and leaderhead and gutter.
